Anyone know what's the inspiration for / meanings of / inferences within the song?

What/who do "7 Walkers" refer to? Are they literal references, or metaphors for what . . . ??

Actually, probably a reference to the archangels, as from Wiki:

The earliest reference to a system of seven archangels as a group appears to be in Enoch I (the Book of Enoch) which is not part of the Jewish Canon, where they are named as Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Raguel, and Remiel.
